Please read and follow the directions for this powerpoint very very carefully. There should be a total of 12 slides.
Description of what the powerpoint is about:
– you will create a presentation using ethnographic photographs from your everyday life to visualize social order and social disorder. These photographs will be representative of/speak to the theories that we have explored throughout the semester.
– Use the readings that are down below for each theory/theorist into the slide. DO NOT USE NAY OTHER INFORMATION OR SOURCE OTHER THAN WHAT I HAVE PROVIDED.
ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES:
1. Introduction Slide- provides a brief introduction to the project
2. You must present ten (10) original photographs taken by you
– a) The photographs must be original
– b) Each photo must be linked to a theory/ist we studied during the semester
– Ten (10) distinct theories/ists must be referenced with each photo
(continuation of number 2). THIS IS WHAT EACH SLIDE MUST INCLUDE
a) An introduction to and explanation of the theory in your own words
i. Include the name of the theorist being cited
b) Describing the photo transition to an explanation of how the image/scene relates to the theory
Conclusion slide:
a) The final slide should include a reflection on how we can “SEE” these theories in everyday life
b) And how documenting and witnessing those moments/scenes relate to/has an effect on your sociological imagination.
