Please create an 18-slide Power Point presentation addressing an overview of psychological assessment using the situation described in the next paragraph. There should be 16 slides of text, plus a title slide and a reference slide. Each slide should contain 5-6 bullet points of content (complete sentences are not necessary, but the bullet points should each contain enough text to sufficiently communicate your thoughts). Each slide should contain examples and also visual graphics to enhance the presentation. Please follow the guidelines below to structure your presentation.
Assume you are an active member of a large church. Many people know you and that you are studying psychology. People often approach you and want your opinion about a psychological issue. For example, someone recently asked for your opinion about his 8 year-old son who consistently struggles with academics. Another person recently asked for your advice about her elderly grandmother whose memory seems to be failing. A teenager from the youth group recently took her SATs and asked for your help interpreting the results. To help your congregation with these types of questions and concerns, you will create a power point slideshow. The slideshow provide an overview of psychological assessment and how it can help a variety of people. Details about the requirements are provided below. The presentation should include graphics to enhance the visual quality. It should also include a total of at least 3 peer-reviewed academic sources. These sources should be cited throughout the presentation in APA format and organized in an APA-formatted reference list.
Here is an overview of the 18 slides you will create:
Slide 1: title slide
Slide 2: introduction to psychological assessment (5-6 bullet points discussing the basic idea of assessment and how it can be helpful)
Slides 3-5: achievement and intelligence tests (5-6 bullet points per slide discussing how these tests can help people, examples of specific tests available, and any limitations or challenges people should consider)
Slides 6-8: personality tests (5-6 bullet points per slide discussing how these tests can help people, examples of specific tests available, and any limitations or challenges people should consider)
Slides 9-11: classroom assessment and surveys (5-6 bullet points per slide discussing how these tests can help people, examples of specific tests available, and any limitations or challenges people should consider)
Slides 12-14: validity and reliability (5-6 bullet points per slide discussing what these statistics mean and why they are important to understand in the context of assessment, examples of both reliability and validity should be included)
Slides 15-17: faith integration (5-6 bullet points per slide discussing your personal ideas about how psychological assessment fits/doesn’t fit with the Christian faith, how you believe assessment affects the Body of Christ; supporting verses should be included)
Slide 18: references
Your presentation should be in proper APA format (if you are unsure of APA formatting, please reference the materials provided in the Week 0 learning activity). Your presentation should include at least 5 peer-reviewed references, which should be cited throughout the slides. You are welcome to use the Hines, et al (2013) text and any drafted journal articles. Websites are not considered valid references in academic work.
